To the family and friends of Jean Crowther Biddle, I am very sorry that I couldn't attend Jean's services as I am assisting my Mom. She is battling recurrent breast cancer that has metastases to her spine, ribs, lung & liver. My thoughts and prayers are for you and your loved ones. May you have the faith and strength that you need at this heartbreaking time. Moms are a very precious gift. Since I have been married to Jimmy Biddle for thirty-nine years, I know that Jean brought great happiness to my father-in-law, Bob Biddle. She was a warm and loving woman who always opened her home and her heart to him and his four children. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. My dad passed away from lung disease in 2012 so I know the pain of watching a loved one suffer. May your happier memories bring you peace in this time of sorrow. Thoughts and prayers. Story shared: Williamsburg Field Trip

I will never forget our class trip to Williamsburg during the summer before our Senior year at Tappahannock High School. We were lodged in one of the William and Mary dorms. After everyone was settled in for the night a group of eight of us, including Jean Hope, crawled out of the windows and went for a late night snack at the nearby Indian Grill. We had to boost each other up to crawl back into the window. The last person got back in by someone sneaking out the room to open the dorm door. I don't know why we didn't get caught. No one believed us the next day when we told of our adventure. I remember Jean Hope as a beautiful, fun-loving person. May she rest in peace.
